Creating New Heirlooms: A Custom Push Present with Meaning

Jewelry has the unique power to hold memory, emotion, and history all at once. At Emily Kuvin, we love crafting custom pieces that transform personal stories into wearable art—and this push present is a perfect example.

For this project, two unworn heirlooms were reimagined into meaningful charms. One was transformed with added diamonds into a pendant charm, radiating elegance while honoring its original history. The other was crafted into a protective evil eye charm, featuring a marquise diamond and engraved with the baby’s birthdate and initials. These small but intentional details create a deeply personal connection, turning the jewelry into more than adornment—it becomes a keepsake, a reminder of life’s most significant moments.

Versatility was also key. Each charm was finished with gold rings large enough to slip over gold end caps and a silk cord, allowing the charms to be worn together, separately, or layered on other chains. The design leaves room for future charms, so the collection can grow alongside the story it celebrates.

Custom pieces like this push present do more than mark a moment—they create new heirlooms for generations to come. What begins as a single piece can carry memory, meaning, and family legacy far into the future, giving jewelry its timeless power.
